You can inquire the status of your visa application 24/7 online or by telephone. You can retrieve your passport at one of the visa application centres or you can have it delivered by courier.
Applicants can collect their passports from the visa application centre in Moscow as follows:
Monday - Friday: 09:00 – 16:00 hrs except holidays/closures.
The following documents are required for Pass Back at the Visa Application Centre:
- Personal collection: Receipt, and Internal passport.
- Collection for relative or third person: you must provide notarized power of attorney (original and copy), Receipt, copy of national passport of applicant (data page only) and copy of national passport (data page) of authorized person. Passport for minor child can be collected by a parent upon presentation of original national passport, receipt and documents proving relationship or by legal guardian upon presentation of relevant documents.

Applicants are requested to collect their passports from the Visa Application Center within 30 days. If passports are not collected within this period, they will be handed over to the Embassy. Passports which are handed over to courier for delivery will be called off and returned back to the Embassy if delivery fails for more than 30 days. In both cases, applicants will have to collect their passport directly from the Embassy.
Please pay attention that transit time to deliver documents from the Visa Centre to the Consulate and back takes 1 day. Besides if delivery of documents in carried out not in Moscow transit will take some time depending on the region.
