Long-stay visas, in compliance with existing domestic law of Portugal, can be either temporary or for residency authorization purposes, depending on the duration of the stay and granting the visa holder an authorization to stay in the country according to different purposes: study, internship, work, medical treatment, among others.
Temporary stay visas allow entry and stay in Portugal for less than a year. Temporary stay visas are valid during the entire stay and allow for multiple entries.
Residency visas allow two entries and is valid for a period of 4 months. During that time, the holder of a residency visa is required to apply for a residency permit with AIMA - Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo.
The Skilled Job Seeker Visa enables the holder of specialized technical skills to enter and remain in the national territory for the purpose of seeking work, authorizing them to carry out highly qualified professional activity until the end of the visa period or until the residence permit is granted.

The following are considered family members of a residing foreign national:
Spouse;
Minor children; or any dependent to one of the spouses;
Minors adopted by a non-married applicant, by the applicant himself or the spouse, following a decision by the competent authority from the country of origin, as long as the law of the country recognizes adopted children the same rights and duties as to natural children, and as the decision is recognized by Portugal. Non-minor children, dependent to the couple or one of the spouses, single and studying in a Portuguese institution, when the residency permit has been granted in compliance with article 90 A;
First-degree lineal ascendants, dependents of either the resident or his/her spouse;
Minor brothers or sisters, as long as under the guardianship of the resident, when in harmony with a decision issued by the competent authority from the country of origin, and as long as such a decision is recognized in Portugal.
The visa fees and service charges once paid are not refundable.
The applicable visa and service fees in Rubles are as per the current exchange rate provided by the Consulate. The same is subject to change without notice.

Checklist for E7 - Temporary stay visa for accompanying a family member undergoing medical treatment

You should look directly at the camera. Face should be open with no hair around it. Eyes should be open, mouth closed. There should not be shadows on the face or red eyes because of the light.
Head coverings are not permitted except the religious one. Please avoid heavy framed of glasses.
Dear applicants, please pay attention that as per the requirement of the Consular section of the Embassy of Portugal in Moscow the Visa centres can refuse to accept the whole set of documents in case the photo doesn’t correspond the above mentioned rules.
The standard processing time for a decision on a visa application is 30 days and more.
Important! This period does NOT include the time required for the delivery of documents from the regions to Moscow and back.
